Heineken and The Chainsmokers Want to Refresh Your Nights

EDM duo team up with Heineken for a series of concerts in Malaysia and Vietnam

HEINEKEN and The Chainsmokers have launched a new campaign in Asia called ‘Refresh Your Music, Refresh Your Nights’. This cross-genre, cross-culture platform allows fans of different cultures to come together to expand their musical tastes.

As part of the campaign, four local artists – two from Vietnam and two from Malaysia– put their spin on The Chainsmokers’ most popular songs. From Vietnam Thu Minh and Karik and from Malaysia Yunohoo and NYK. On December 9th and 10th, The Chainsmokers will perform in Genting Highlands, Malaysia, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam alongside the four local artists. Showcasing their refreshed renditions of the Chainsmokers classics.

“We are thrilled to be a part of HEINEKEN’s Refresh Your Music, Refresh Your Nights campaign. We have always believed that music has the power to break any barriers, and that is why this campaign resonated with us. We are excited to perform with some of the most well-loved artists from the region and introduce people to new genres of music,” says The Chainsmokers. 

Fans in Malaysia can experience the Playlist Refresher on Spotify hosted on The Refresh Hub, which allows them to co-create a playlist with a friend to discover new genres of music. The Playlist Refresher injects your friends’ musical tastes into your chosen playlist, and vice versa, taking you both out of your music bubbles.

Spotify will offer fans in both Vietnam and Malaysia different ways to expand their musical tastes through playlists. The Playlist Refresher is an interactive way for fans to explore new genres of music with friends. The Refresh Hub hosts the playlist, which requires collaboration between you and a friend to create. For fans in Vietnam, Spotify offers the Refresh Playlist hosted on The Refresh Hub. This playlist allows users to select a genre of music and refresh it by blending it with another genre. These ‘blended’ playlists such as Razz (jazz + rap), Hip-Pop (hip-hop + pop), and Punk-Pop (punk + K-pop) are designed to open people’s minds and get them out of their musical comfort zones.




Fans can register for concert tickets, stay updated on the latest news and vote for their favorite refreshed rendition by local artists on the Refresh Hub. Selected lucky winners will stand a chance to win a VIP experience at the shows.
