New Warner appointee Arica Ng brings close to 20 years of experience in the music and tech industries to her new role as APAC President. She joins Warner Chappell Music from Meta, where she was the Group’s Head of Music Business Development, Asia Pacific, spearheading the launch of music initiatives across the Meta family of apps, including Facebook, Instagram, and Oculus in Asia Pacific.
Before her current role, she served as the Head of Music Publishing Asia Pacific at Google, where she managed music publishing partnerships for YouTube and Google Play Music in the area. Ng started at Google as its Head of Music Partnerships, Greater China & South East Asia, and was responsible for helping launch and build out YouTube Music’s regional teams.
She has worked in senior positions at Sony Music Entertainment, Nokia, and SingTel. In these roles, she was responsible for managing the music business strategies, content acquisition plans, and marketing functions of these companies in Asia. She has a BSc in Business Management from the University of Bradford and an executive MBA jointly awarded by Brown University and IE Business School.
Under Guy Moot, Co-Chair and CEO of WCM, Ng’s main responsibilities will be overseeing WCM’s operations across Asia Pacific, developing and implementing strategies that will strengthen the company’s position as one of the region’s leading music publishing companies.
